Good Month

Hi Everyone

Well its been a while since my last message.  The club has had great turn outs for all of our events.  The Spring Fest Fly In was very well attended.  We were not or at least I wasn't expecting a very good turn out because of the Hurricane off the coast.  We had wind but that was it.  It was a great time and well attended.  I believe 30 people signed up to fly and we didn't loose any cash this time.  Brent did the food and it was great.  The IMAC large scale guys did some good flying.  I don't believe there was much damage except for a rudder and a elevator balance.  The Strykers were out in force and even a pylon racer made laps a few times.  Over all a great day.

I hear thru the grapevine that you should not ride in a golf cart with Primo.  We will have to get details from Daniel (If he can remember) what all happened.  I guess he had a concussion but is OK.  Well as OK as he can be.......  He still took 3rd at the contest in Tenn.  Great going....  I dont have results from the other guys so please fill me in.

The glider front has been quite for the last month.  Bob Whitney and myself went to the NATS and did a full week of flying.  I myself was a little burnt out from that week and havent touched the sailplanes much.  Bob has been out a few times so he will probably kick my butt in the next gathering.  The NATS were great and it was good to meet new and old friends.  Make plans for your NATS as its something all modelers should attend.

Bob Russ and Jeff will be departing Thursday afternoon for a contest called the 'BRUCE" www.thebrucef3k.com is the web site.  Its the largest DLG contest in the world.  Yes I said the world.  Bruce attends our contest in York and has a great personality. He is a world contestent and brings them in from all around the world.  The swedes and Germans and even some KIWI's will be there.  The #1 and 2 from the Worlds will be here to attend also.  Russ is in need of help as he just had his shoulder operated on and cant throw.  So we have a list of people to help him duing the day.  Its gonna be fun.

Ok people I need info from events that everyone attends.  We want to know what and how you are doing.  What are you building?  Let us know....

Until next time

Jeff
